I cannot speak highly enough of this school. I moved my daughter here from another local school at the beginning of Year 3 and she has had fantastic enrichment activities- lots of different Sports, drama, dance, music, outside visits and a superb residential. The school welcomes parents and carers and is truly inclusive. The staff know and care about every child and discover and encourage their talents. It genuinely is at the heart of its community. Older pupils are encouraged to take on responsibility and to befriend and mentor the children in the early years. Homework is interesting and enhances learning. My child has developed confidence, maturity and independence- they do a great job in preparing pupils for Middle School.
The teachers are lovely, the school is lovely and I feel safe my son going there. :)

My daughter had attended Kumon for the past 3 years. She studies maths and has made steady progress during this time, especially during the past year (year 5) which has been her first year at middle school. She has moved up two sets and her school report in July, highlighted the progress that she has made. Kelly is fantastic! She always texts mid week to ask how things are going and is vet supportive. I would highly recommend the Kumon study program.
Absolutely love Kumon it’s made a huge difference to our son. He studies both English and Maths and since starting kumon we’ve noticed a huge improvement in his school work and concentration. Kelly is amazing!!! She’s so supportive and really encourages our son. I feel she really knows him and his little ways and can get him to work to the best of his abilities. I would definitely recommend it!!!

The flight flew from RAF Brize Norton on 24th April 2024 with 500 cuddly giraffes on board to raise money and awareness for Great Ormond Street Hospital in memory of Louise Conway who died at just nine years old of leukaemia in 2013. Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate donated 50% of the production costs on behalf of the junior school, Chapter House, and our Forces community across campus - which is about 25% of our total student population.

Just completed a weeks work placement at this school in the Art Department.. just want to say how much I enjoyed this experience. All of the teachers (especially in art) were so welcoming and friendly towards me. The school has so many great opportunities for the children, and after sitting in some other lessons I almost wished I was back in school!! Hopefully one day I will be as inspiring as some of the teachers I met. Thankyou Monkseaton High.
