Hinnies is a local restaurant overlooking Whitley Bay Promenade and provides meals from brunch to Sunday lunch. Myself and family have visited on a number of occasions and always found the food and drink provided to be of good quality. There is varied menu with mix of local variations and standard options - as well as a children's menu. Staff are well trained, friendly and attentive, but there have been a few occasions on which we had extended wait times for food, but this is generally by exception and appeared to be a problem with kitchen service. This is an ideal location to go for a family get together or special occasion in a relaxed and friendly environment. I'd recommend this as a place to visit.

Cozy atmosphere, great location with a nice view of the sea. We came as a big group of 11 and they were very accommodating. Food was delicious!! Had the mackerel and it was yum!

Lunch with friends. Excellent lunchtime menu. Good choices with 2 courses for£9.95 . Excellent service, table settings and decor. Only fault. Tables too close together and entrance not disabled friendly.

Fantastic Turkish restaurant Service and food was excellent it was very busy but we didn't feel rushed we had starters and mains, drinks and coffee. All were speedily delivered and the table was cleared between dishes. We are looking forward to going there again as the food was so tasty. Especially the Lamb.

I love my curries & I can honestly say that this is the best Indian restaurant in Whitley Bay. Staff are great & food is delicious.

I usually don't write reviews, but on this occasion I'll make an exception. To keep it short and simple this place probably has the best value for money in the region. Period. The food was delicious, the portions were perfect and the environment made my stay feel special. However, what really made me happy was the staff. I want to say special thanks to Chloe and Ben who were without a doubt the most caring and friendly waiters I've ever met. They made sure to accommodate our every need and were professional from start to finish. Furthermore, I went to Takdir to celebrate my graduation and mentioned that to Ben. A few moments later they cheerfully brought me an ice cream cake and congratulated me (you can see how happy I was in the picture - they even wrote a congratulation with strawberry syrup on the board!). Definitely coming back here.

Amazing food excellent service and very good value

Without a doubt the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Love it some much it has become our regular spot. The staff are fantastic and can't do enough to help. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely food, big portions and the chips are home made. Don't be put of by the dared looking decor. The staff are vey fiend as well.

Really loved the decadent decor. Friendly. Didn't have the coffee machine on for my expresso martini so gave me a complementary glass of prosecco while I waited. Hidden gem.

We just popped in as we were hungry and they were serving Sunday lunch. The price was £8.95 each and the portions were massive, in fact we couldn't eat it all . The food was amazing and they gave me a doggy bag to take back for my cats. The hospitality was great. Will definitely go back

Held my son's engagement here.DJ was fantastic. Played all the right tunes. Dance floor was never empty. Staff were brilliant, attentive & very helpful especially the Manager. Would definitely recommend the venue for a party 😁

Don't come here if you're already hungry. The food here is very good and good value but even when there aren't many customers the wait for food is ridiculous. This has happened on a few occasions now, most recently a 40 minute wait for 2 breakfasts. The real ales are good, the coffee is great and there is outdoor seating and it's a nice place with pleasant staff so there are still many reasons I would come back here, but only if I wasn't wanting to eat any time soon...

This is the best Chinese resturant in whitey bay. Really great menu. Fabulous staff. We have eaten of the set menu and ask to change a meal they were quite happy to let us do this. Most chinese done like you changing set menus.

Genuinely the best Chinese take-away in the UK (I've tried many). Great portions, fresh ingredients and friendly service. I now live in the South of England, but when I come back North to see family, I always come to New Claremont. The house special fried rice is the finest I've ever had with good sized prawns, nice meat portions and tasty sauce.

First time trying here. Got the House special curry and House special fried rice. Was impressed! Food served piping hot and the quality was beyond expected. Very generous portions too👍

Superb food was just stunning. Had one of the best Sunday dinners I have ever had. The pork was slow roasted to perfection, Yorkshire puddings were light and huge, veg and trimmings perfectly cooked and all for £10.00. I can’t wait to come back and have it again. Lovely atmosphere, huge portions and nice staff.

Homey service and great food! The tapas idea is brilliant as there’s so many mouth watering options to try. The decor is elegant and watching the sun set and fog descend makes an evening

Good food, good atmosphere and friendly staff.

We called in today for our first visit we were very impressed with the friendly staff and were seated immediately. We both had meals from the Christmas Specials Menu which was excellent value at only £13.50 for 3 courses inc drinks. We enjoyed every mouthful as each course was delicious, the presentation was superb and will certainly be back well done 10/10.

Quite possibly our best find this year so far. Definitely going to go back. Food was out of this world. They cater for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Everyone was happy. The flat breads are all cooked fresh and the topping are amazing. 😁🌈💕

The food and atmosphere here are amazing. We have become regulars and have never once been dissatisfied or disappointed. Staff are fantastic and the owners are totally cool and not in your face. I can not recommend this place enough. It is brilliant.
